The Exchange Club of Albany: 89 Years of Unity to Service

The Exchange Club of Albany was chartered on September 25, 1936, with the National Exchange Club, and started with 23 dedicated men. The club has grown to over 140 members—men and women—who serve Albany and Southwest Georgia with unwavering commitment to three core Programs of Impact: Americanism, Youth Programs, Community Service, and the National Project: Prevention of Child Abuse. The Exchange Club of Albany exists to identify and meet the needs of our community through meaningful service, to make the community a Better Place to live.

The Exchange Club Fair of Southwest Georgia

Since 1955, the Exchange Club of Albany has been sponsoring the Exchange Club Fair of Southwest Georgia on Lowe Road, then moved to the present location, 810 S. Westover Rd, in 1970.  Since 1959, James E. Strate’s Shows has become the midway provider to entertain families from across Southwest Georgia. The Exchange Club Fair of Southwest Georgia is a reflection of enduring dedication to service, fellowship, and community spirit.
