The Thomasville Genealogical, History, and Fine Arts Library

The Thomasville Genealogical, History, and Fine Arts Library, Inc., founded in 1986, was an integral part of the Thomasville Cultural Center. However, due to its growth and the lack of room for expansion, a real need arose for a new home. It was decided that the new home of the Thomasville Genealogical, History, and Fine Arts Library would be in Thomasville's historic Post Office building (completed in 1915) located at 135 North Broad Street.

The Thomasville Genealogical, History, and Fine Arts Library, Inc. opened the doors of its new home on May 15, 1997.

It is the mission of the Thomasville Genealogical, History and Fine Arts Library, Inc., a resource center for books on genealogy, history, and fine arts, to be a place where the scattered fragments of our documented past can be assembled and maintained for posterity.
