Charles Kent Administration Building

The building housed the Tifton High School from 1917 to 1962. The last class that graduated from the school building was the Class of 1962. In 1962, the building became the Junior High School, grades 7th and 8th. The school was closed in 1971. The building was restored in 1974 and became the Tift County Administration Building. The building was then dedicated and renamed in honor of Charles A. Kent in December 1996. Mr. Kent served on the Commission Board from 1967 to 1996. This building is now known as the Charles Kent Administration Building, located at 225 North Tift Avenue, Tifton, Georgia.
